The IELTS Speaking module allows you to build capacity to speak fluently about different topics.
THE SPEAKING MODULE FORMAT:
The speaking test is about 11-14 minutes and a very trained examiner conducts it. The following are the THREE part of the exam:
PART ONE
In the first part you will have to introduce yourselves to the examiner and the examiner will do the same. The examiner will ask about your personal states, which includes question about your Family, jobs, education status and other familiar topics. This phase takes about 4-5 minutes.
PART TWO
In this stage, you will be given a card by the examiner. The card will contain a topic, which is common and associated to your personal experience. You will have to prepare a small presentation and talk about it. You are allowed to make notes; the required pencil and paper will be hand over to you by the examiner.
The examiner will ask one or two rounding-off questions about the topic. You do not need special knowledge to answer them.
PART THREE
The final part is the most important were you would be engaged on a discussion with the examiner. The discussion will be related to the previous topic given in part one. In this stage you will have to give opinion, which will be a little difficult compared to the discussion in part one.
ESTIMATION
The module is carried out to assess whether you are able to communicate effectively in English. The examiner will focus on your fluency and coherence, grammatical range, vocabulary, pronunciation to find out your limits of using English.
